Xiaomi officially launched two new phone models, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, with a unique secondary screen design, last September. Recently, a source from Weibo revealed interesting information about the successors to these models.

According to GSMArena, both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will continue to feature a secondary display on the back, accompanied by an "AI-powered smart window". While specific details about the function of this feature are yet to be revealed, this shows that Xiaomi is heavily investing in enhancing the functionality of the secondary display, confirming that this is not a temporary feature.

Additionally, the speakers and vibration motors of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max have also been improved compared to previous versions; however, details about these changes have not yet been released. Both models will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September this year. According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch screen, a 7,000 mAh or larger battery, wireless charging support, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and dual 200MP rear cameras (main and telephoto). Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is rumored to have a 6.9-inch flat LIPO OLED display with thinner bezels than its predecessor.
