The top-of-the-line version of the Xiaomi 15 series will feature an incredibly powerful telephoto camera, robust specifications, and a large battery.
Numerous previous leaks have revealed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the highest-end version of the Xiaomi 15 series, will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip and may launch in Q1 2025. The latest information from leaker @Ice Universe on Weibo has revealed some important details about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's camera setup, according to Playfuldroid.
Like the 14 Ultra, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will continue to feature a quad-camera system. It will have a telephoto lens with a 200-megapixel resolution and 4x optical zoom, most likely a periscope telephoto camera. @Ice Universe also revealed that Xiaomi fans will be pleased with this advanced camera setup, offering extended zoom capabilities and a comprehensive wide-angle range. Currently, there is no information about the remaining cameras on the 15 Ultra.
Specifications
According to previously leaked information, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a dual-layer OLED panel. The screen offers 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While its predecessor had an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, the 15 Ultra is expected to have an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor.
The powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will power the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The highest variant could offer up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device is also likely to feature new battery technology with a capacity of up to 6,200mAh. The phone will run Android 15 with the HyperOS 2.0 interface.
While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch next year, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will launch in October this year in China. Reports suggest the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be a model exclusive to the Chinese market. In other words, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra are expected to be released globally in 2025.
